Independent Schools Roundtable

The recent change in government and the forthcoming Autumn statement are both likely to impact the Independent School sector significantly.

We are hosting an informal breakfast roundtable discussion during the Autumn term which will focus on the anticipated changes and challenges facing independent schools and how to navigate them.

Some of the points that we expect to be discussing over breakfast include:

• VAT and school fees.
• Charitable status and business rate relief.
• Autumn statement, any other impacts on the sector.

The roundtable discussion will be hosted by Lucy Hammond, a Partner at Kreston Reeves, who will share her knowledge of the sector and the current issues it is facing. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss and share your views with bursars and Trustees from other local schools.

This will take place on Friday 18 October 2024 at the Kreston Reeves Horsham office (Floor 2, Springfield House, Horsham, RH12 2RG).

Itinerary for the Kreston Reeves Independent School roundtable:

• 8.00 am: arrival, networking with coffee.
• 8.30 am: roundtable discussion over breakfast.
• 10.00 am: discussion will finish promptly.
