On Saturday 17 August 2024, we proudly celebrated LGBTQIA+ identity as part of the Medway Pride parade through Rochester High Street.

Amongst other businesses and individuals, our team, including Sam Jones, Corporate Tax Partner, Kimberley Foulkes, Audit Manager, and Scarlet Aspinall, Audit Assistant Manager, marched through the vibrant streets to demonstrate our deep commitment to inclusion and unity. The parade concluded at Rochester Castle Gardens, where participants were greeted by an energetic band of drummers, an abundance of enticing food stalls, and later, performances by acts like X Factor’s Louisa Johnson!

Medway Pride CIC is a not-for-profit community organisation which aims to promote equality and diversity across all communities of Medway for the public benefit and in particular the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity, especially for those living in Medway and the surrounding areas.

Kimberley Foulkes, who is also joint lead for our commitment to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal, ‘Reduced inequalities’, shared: “It was such an uplifting day full of positivity and celebration, and we felt honoured to have supported Medway Pride again this year. The energy was incredible, and it was inspiring to see everyone standing together celebrating their and each other’s identities proudly.”

We’re delighted to announce our continued support of this important event next year, and also look forward to supporting Canterbury Pride in 2025 for the 12th year in a row!

We, as a firm, hold ourselves accountable against four of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals – ‘Good health and wellbeing’, ‘Quality education’, ‘Climate action’, and ‘Reduced inequalities’. Therefore, we are acting to affirm equity, diversity and inclusion not just at Kreston Reeves, but also in our local communities; as well as raise awareness through education about the issues LGBTQIA+, BAME, women and neurodiverse people face.
