We’re very proud of all our students and the dedication they show to their work, their studies and their ‘extracurricular’ activities both inside and out of work. They’ve shown determination, resilience and commitment throughout the year to, not just complete but, excel in their studies.
Our annual Student of the Year Awards was established in 2019 in loving memory of our colleague Janet Fautley, a leading light for us in continuous learning and excellence. The panel of judges consider a range of factors, including exam results, performance in role, wider firm contributions, our values and supporting comments.
We received many nominations from across the firm and after careful consideration the panel were delighted to present the Student of the Year 2022 award to Elise Grossmann, as well as announce Anna-Mae Wilkinson Cox and Fiona Gillespie as runners up.
Karen Thompson, Training Manager, commented: ‘Elise is the prime example of a student that we would want to work at Kreston Reeves. She prioritises clients and builds great relationships with them. Elise is always eager to learn, reflecting in both her work and her studies, and it is lovely to see her confidence grow throughout her apprenticeship’.
‘A huge congratulations also goes to runners up Anna-Mae and Fiona. Both students are exemplars of bringing our values to life in the outside world and within our communities. They’ve shown such dedication to their studies, which has shone throughout their work within the office and with their clients. They should be very proud of their accomplishments’.
We all would like to give Elise, Anna-Mae and Fiona a huge well done for their enthusiasm, hard-work and all of their achievements.
We are proud to continue to be one of few accredited ‘employer training providers’ within our sector, training and mentoring the next generation of accountants through our student apprenticeship intake each year.
