Ghana trip – our first ‘Making Dreams Come True’ team

The month of September marks the final two months of fundraising before a team of Kreston Reeves staff visit Ghana.

The team of five (Taylor Moores, Ceri Cook, David Mepsted, Rob Sellers and Alice Ferguson) will be spending 8 days and nights in the remote community of Abenta, home to approximately 400 people. Much of their time will be taken up assisting in the building of community facilities, be it part of the school or health clinic, rain water harvesting or improving sanitation by building toilet blocks or hand dug wells. During the afternoons they will have the opportunity to provide community assistance and teaching.

The team are very close to their target and are keen to make the most out of the opportunity to raise £10,000.

The team are busy doing some additional fundraising to maximise the amount they can raise. So far this has included, a charity quiz night, cake sales, Tough Mudder, leg waxing, amongst numerous raffles and competitions.

To coincide with this, we are currently hosting a Pedometer challenge during September, with a virtual route taking us 1,000 miles around Ghana. Over 300 members of staff are taking part in 37 different teams.
