The Kent Teacher of the Year Awards recognises the dedication and hard work of teachers and school staff, which is why we are proud to continue supporting these awards.
The ceremony, organised by the KM Charity Team, was held on 9 October 2021 at Ashford International Hotel where more than 70 dedicated and inspirational staff from across Kent and Medway were awarded. This year they received more nominations than in its entire history.
Kimberley Foulkes, Audit Assistant Manager and academy specialist, presented awards to regional winners and Louise Thrower, Audit Assistant Manager and academy specialist, was involved with the judging and presented the ‘School Business Manager of the Year’ category award.
Kimberley comments, “I was honoured to attend the awards and present to regional winners. It’s incredibly important to recognise and thank teachers and school staff for all their extremely hard work and dedication, especially throughout the pandemic.” Louise comments: “A massive congratulations to all the truly deserving winners of the awards. As sponsors of the ‘School Business Manager of the Year’ category, we congratulate Tina Button, from The Wyvern School in Ashford, as the winner. School business managers have really had to go above and beyond this year, in what has been a challenging time for schools and education, their work has been simply amazing! These awards are one of the few places that individual effort and achievement can be recognised”.
We congratulate the winners, and nominees, on their successful commitment to the education sector.
