Our Canterbury office raises over £3000 for charity
From cake bakes to raffles to braving a 100ft drop abseil and walking over fire, the Kreston Reeves Canterbury office has been raising money for not one but two charities during 2017/18, Porchlight and Martha Trust.
Working across Kent and the South East, Porchlight helps vulnerable and isolated people get support with their mental health, housing, education and employment. They provide children, young people and adults with the advice, guidance and skills to live independently in the future, play an active role in their local community and fulfill their potential.
Martha Trust, based in Deal and covering Kent, Hastings and East Sussex, help severely disabled people enjoy as full and active a life as possible. Their scheme helps disabled people achieve their potential and, where possible, their independence.
Altogether a total of £3065.61 was raised for the chosen office charities. Last week Canterbury CSR Rep Sophie Pritchard and Canterbury Consultant Clive Relf were able to hand over these much-deserved donations to Carol Baalham from Martha Trust and Nathan Tough from Porchlight.
As well as raising money for these charities, an extra £701.77 for the KM Charity Team has been raised through a couple of KM supported events.
For the upcoming year, a vote has been taken and Friends for Mental Health (East Kent) has been chosen as the Canterbury office charity for 2018/19.
