We are delighted to announce that a group from Kreston Reeves are taking part in the 2017 Brighton Marathon in aid of supporting two of our local charities; Chestnut Tree House; and St Luke’s Trust.
Tim Maakestad, Ruth Tomkin Munro, Terry Burgum and Jake Standing will be running the Brighton Marathon on 9 April, in aid of supporting Chestnut Tree House; the children’s hospice of Sussex. Steve Moss will be running the Brighton Marathon in aid of supporting St Luke’s Trust; a London charity serving residents in and around south Islington.
The Brighton Marathon comprises of a 26.2 mile route, starting on Sunday 9th April at 9.15am in Preston Park, Brighton. With the team going through an uncompromising 12 week training regime, on average running three times per week.
The event has recorded over 11,000 participants this year, with runners coming from a series of backgrounds – including elite athletes.
Tim Maakestad, Partner at Kreston Reeves and soon to be a marathon runner, commented: “ This is an extreme challenge for those who are not used to running and involves a great deal of commitment to a training regime that will get you across the finishing line. It will give the runners enormous pride in achieving this personal goal and in raising much needed funds for these very worthwhile causes”.
There is still time to contribute and to do so please use our JustGiving page to support the Chestnut Tree House charity, or to support St Luke’s Trust please use Steve’s JustGiving page.
Kreston Reeves contributes significantly in fundraising throughout the year through a variety of activities and time commitment, to read more about our CSR activities please click here. We will extend this level of commitment into the next five years of our CSR programme.
